Event – Good Thing Studio – 2nd year Anniversary Open Studio and Fundraiser – Brunswick

Good Thing Studio are turning 2 years old, happy birthday guys, and they are opening their doors next weekend to welcome one and all into the studio to visit. With live painting, art for sale and all around good times this should be a great day.
From the Facebook page“Good Thing Studio is turning two and we want to celebrate with all our wonderful friends and try and maybe make some new ones.

All the artists studios will be open to the public from 12 noon till 5pm on Sunday the 16th of June.

We are also hoping to repaint the walls outside and around the building so if you want a spot to paint message us ASAP as it will be a first in best dressed kinda deal.

Also we are asking any of our lovely artist friends to donate an artwork for our fundraiser silent art auction. All proceeds will go to help keep the Good Thing alive, hopefully for many years to come. So come over and help us celebrate, shake your tail feather, and pick up some affordable art by some amazing local artists.”

Luke McManus is an IT project manager by day, and by night (and any other spare time he gets) a street art and graffiti fan, collector and photographer. Luke has been interested in street art since the explosion in Melbourne in the mid 2000s, in particular stencils and paste ups. Since then Luke has always been a keen follower Melbourne’s street art and graffiti scene and of street art worldwide. Luke’s purpose for documenting and blogging about street art and graffiti is to share with the world the amazing talent in the street art and graffiti scene in Melbourne (and sometimes from other parts of Australia).
