Exhibition – Michael Staniak – Melbourne

Michael Staniak is no stranger to the Melbourne art scene, and this time around with his solo show "Histroy Suspended" he’s heading to another familiar name down this way – the Nallie Castan Gallery,

Hailing from out of the wonderful Paradise Hills studios, Michaels work is a blend of old and new, with hints of the traditional often juxtaposed with the vibrancy of aerosol – all bundled into fantastical, vivid imagery.

"I am warmly inviting you to my first ever exhibition with the iconic Melbourne gallery, Nellie Castan. The exhibition will feature new paintings that I have developed over the past year, focusing on the lost lands and reworked images of art history that are forever stuck within the Internet.

Join me for some beverages at the gallery from 6pm til 8pm, and if you feel like getting a little loose, the celebration will continue with food and drinks at the Royal Saxon just up the road.

You have very limited excuses: uni is over, schools out, the summer is around the corner and generally people feel like a party. So come on down and enjoy next Thursday night with myself and the friendly folks down at Nellie Castan Gallery."

If you love your painted bliss, then definitely get down and see this – as the man says, you really do have limited excuses.
