Exhibition – RTIST Gallery – Second Group Show – VIC

After a great entrance into the Melbourne gallery scene, and following on from their phenomenal opening show and their first artist solo show with Slicer, RTIST are hosting another group show next week, May the 20th. With a packed out solo and duo show calendar coming up over the rest of the year, get yourself down to Prahran and see what everyones been talking about – and check out some amazing work from a host of amazing artists, put together by a talented and dedicated team.

“RTIST Gallery is proud to announce it’s second group opening event on Friday 20th of May 2011 that will feature cutting edge artworks from 9 of Australia’s finest established and up and coming urban artists. After the success of the unofficial group show opening. This is set to again be a not to be missed event. ‘This group exhibition is designed to give the Melbourne public a further look into the world of urban art’ says Toby Armstrong, Director of the new gallery.

Jeremy Gaschk, head curator of the RTIST Gallery is eagerly looking forward to the opening night. ‘We have been very fortunate to assemble another unique line up of established and emerging urban artists for the exhibition’ said Jeremy. New works featuring on the opening night include those from Ben Frost, Shannon Crees, Nick Simpson, Luke Taaffee, Soul Orton, Daek, Monkey, Lucy Lucy and Plump Oyster.

Artists chosen to partake in this second group exhibition, will also be given the opportunity to present solo and duo shows within the gallery space during 2011. With the success of Slicer’s solo show currently showing. RTIST is setting up for an amazing year of progressive art. Already planning solo shows from an infamous bunch of artists; Urban Cake Lady, Deams, Sofles,Lazerfist, Unwell Bunny and Fintan Magee. Just to name a few, plus a host of International talent rolling into the summer months.”
